Krewella impressed us this year after dropping their refreshing ‘Never Been Hurt‘ release with BEAUZ. Now, the sisters are back and switching things up drastically for their second single of the year in ‘No Control,’ a collaboration with

LA-based startup MADGRLL. As you’ll hear below, the record is an in-your-face banger that goes hard AF from start to finish. The hardstyle and Melbourne bounce influenced collaboration really flexes the duo’s versatility and we can’t wait to hear what they have coming up for us in 2022. “It’s been years since we’ve made a track like this – dipping into our career-long love of hardstyle and heavy bass music, we wrote and produced this song to articulate the burgeoning chaos we’ve been craving since having a lack of human contact and indulgent experiences during the pandemic. Today Boys Noize and Kelsey Lu have released an ethereal short film accompanying their intoxicating collaboration ‘Love & Validation’ off the producer’s decorated fifth studio album, +/- (pronounced Polarity).

Directed by legendary filmmaker Diana Kunst (alongside Mau Morgó) the captivating black & white visuals add another layer of interest and creativity to an already amazing track. If that wasn’t enough, Boys Noize has also dropped off a club-focused B-side, ‘Biate.’ As you’ll hear below, this techno record is jam-packed with energy and spirit. BUKU Music & Art Project Returns With a Huge 2022 Lineup ft. Tyler The Creator, Porter Robinson, Glass Animals & More

After taking 2020 and 2021 off, BUKU Music & Art Project is back with a vengeance. Historically, BUKU has excelled in building lineups that blend EDM, Hip-Hop, and a few other heavy hitters that could be headliners on any stage in the world. And this year is no different. It boasts artists like Tyler The Creator, Glass Animals, Alison Wonderland, Porter Robinson, and even names like Taking Back Sunday so you can “Makedamnsure” to be excited.

LIke I said – a wonderful blend of artists. Like years past, BUKU will be taking place in New Orleans right on the water on March 25th and 26th. A trip to BUKU is just a taste of New Orleans culture, so if you make it down there make sure to give yourself some time to check out the city.

LISTEN: Benda Finishes Off 2021 W/ ‘Broward Bezel’ EP

Following the success of Tommy Gun, a frenzied collaborative single with Tisoki, Miami-born producer and DJ Benda makes a mark with his new multifaceted project “Broward Bezel EP.” Out now on Excision’s growing Subsidia imprint, this combustive 5 track release is the second EP to be announced from the young producer. Loaded with an array of tectonic sounds and incendiary lines, “Broward Bezel EP” is a striking feat brimming with tunes holding potential to provoke any crowd. 

Transforming tuneful beats into stifling drops that spew machine-gun style synth work, “Broward Bezel EP” showcases a manifold of Bendas forceful muse. Uniting earth-splitting bass and aggressive rap bars with the efforts of Bluepill, Puku, and Mikey Rotten, Benda hones in on the idiosyncratic style that separates him from the masses. Wrapping up the EP is the calm at the end of the storm, a melodic funk-filled piece interlaced with captivating drums and Courtney Drummey’s dreamy cadence. Checking every box, this profound collection of songs paints the perfect picture as to why the LA-based producer is known as one of the grimiest in the game.    

This project made me want to showcase my true interests, background, and my sound. Bringing Blupill and Puku on board as artists for this EP helped me truly cultivate the South Florida vibe and sound I have worked hard for. Young electronic producer prodigy k?d makes his return to the scene with a remix of Hikaru Utada’s “One Last Kiss,” the main theme song of Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time — the fourth and final film in the Rebuild of Evangelion film series. On the track, k?d says:

“as you guys know i’m a huge evangelion fan so i couldn’t resist remixing it. also this artwork took me forever to draw!!! it’s been a while since i posted a kid track, enjoy!!!!”

k?d has been teasing new music all year after his last release with Steve Aoki in January.
