LISTEN: Feint & R7CKY Team Up for DnB-Infused “Lost & Found” Feat. Skyelle

Last summer, drum and bass producer Feint released “Fading Wind,” a light-hearted tune fueled by yearning lyrics. Now, Feint joins forces with Chinese artist R7CKY and singer-songwriter Skyelle for their new compelling single “Lost & Found,” out now via Monstercat. 

Bridging the cultural gap between the East and West, Feint’s joint effort with R7CKY is an amalgamation of both artists’ distinct styles. “Lost & Found” surrounds orchestral chords with liquified trills, all while Skyelle’s uplifting cadence carries the tune through billowing soundscapes. LISTEN: Space Laces Returns With Insane New “High Vaultage” EP

Space Laces has made a nice little spot for himself in the bass music community. His versatility and masterful sound design makes everything that his name is on a ‘must-listen.’ Because frankly, I never know what to expect. And that is a good thing.

This five track High Vaultage EP is no exception to the rule above. It’s only 5 tracks, but every track really shows off the absolute RANGE that Space Laces has after years of experience and proves that genres mean nothing to Space Laces. If you have ever listened to the Vaultage mix series then you might recognize bits and pieces of these.

“Disco Bloodbath” feels like something plucked out of the golden era of Complextro while”Splinters” is the most light-hearted track on the EP featuring a very bouncy, very fun future bass feel. But the first time you throw on “Run DLL” and get decimated with the onslaught of experimental and sub-bass – you will truly say “This guy can really do it all.”

If you haven’t checked out a SIPPY set yet, you’ve been missing out on some crazy bass music. Known for her high-energy sets, the Aussie queen is an excellent way to kick-off your ILLfest experience. If you like DnB, dubstep, or heavy bass music, this is the set you need in your life.

If you’re the type of bass-head that craves a beautifully filthy set where the bass vibrates against your skin and makes you feel reborn, then you’ve got to check out Mersiv.  His energy on stage is unmatched and you won’t regret it.

Who: MALAA

Where: Mooncheese Stage, 8:30-9:30

Who: Liquid Stranger

Get ready to end your first night of ILLfest on a high note because anytime these two trap legends get together it’s a full-on party with plenty of surprises. Easily the most anticipated set on this lineup, we fully expect to hear a ton of heaters and maybe even some unreleased IDs.

Who: ROSSY

Where: The ILLest Stage, 4:00-5:00

One of the artists that we’re most excited to see at ILLfest this year is ROSSY. First hitting our radar during the Sable Valley Livestream in 2020, ROSSY has been dropping some incredible music and popping up everywhere. If you’re a fan of RL Grime or Alison Wonderland, this is the perfect set to kick-off Day 2 of ILLfest.

Who: Juelz

Where: The ILLest Stage, 5:00-6:00

JUELZ has been sitting at the top of our watch list for a hot minute and we’re stoked to finally get the chance to catch one of his live sets. A master at blurring the lines between EDM and hip-hop, JUELZ promises to be an unforgettable experience.

Who: Mr. Carmack

Where: Space Cats Stage, 7:00-8:00

One of the best things about going to see Mr. Carmack is that you’ll get a beautifully diverse set that will still hit incredibly hard. If you want to lose your mind on the dance floor, hit up Mr. Carmack and soak in the wild vibes.

Who:  Snakehips

Where: Mooncheese Stage, 9:30-10:30

Known for their fun and energetic sets, Snakehips is the move to make if your inner shuffler is dying to get out and show off your impeccable dance moves. Burn up the dance floor and ride the vibey sonic waves they effortlessly put out.

Who: Kaskade

Where: The ILLest Stage, 10:30-11:30

Kaskade is a music legend for a reason. Known for creating a sense of euphoria during his sets, Kaskade is a master of creating a magical atmosphere, and we couldn’t picture ending our ILLfest experience any other way. Keep the party going once the fest ends and grab tickets to his redux after-party here.

Lucid purveyors of the sounds of the underground, Psycho Boys Club synthesize the human condition through many sonic influences. After releasing on world-renown labels from Tiësto’s Musical Freedom to Diplo’s Mad Decent, the duo take to deadmau5′ groundbreaking mau5trap label for their latest invention. A slow-burning hard techno feat, “Rolling Thunder” is the intersection of heavy and acid. Designed with a ripping kick and infectious acid bass lines, “Rolling Thunder” is an expertly cut piece of monstrous techno.

“‘Rolling Thunder’ is 3 words,” explains Psycho Boys Club on their new single. “Heavy, raw & acid. We made ‘Rolling Thunder’ when we first got our first analog gear, the TD-3, so the acid bass lines are straight from the gear. We were in this cyberpunk/dystopian film frenzy so after watching a few cool films/anime we had this idea to translate what we felt from watching those stuff into a very cold/robotic techno track.”
